Elevator Pitch
Senior year is supposedly the most important year of high school students lives. How do you prove this to be true though? Research is necessary and should include statistics and facts about seniors and how they act, where they go, what they do, after high school. To find information on this topic I will be interviewing Mrs. Newman, a senior English teacher at Palo Verde High School.
Since Mrs. Newman is an expert when it comes to seniors and how they are during their final year, she will be answering my questions. While researching statistics I found that 85% of teens thought it to be majorly beneficial to graduate high school. This number dropped to 53% when asked about graduating college and 22% when asked about getting an advanced degree. On top of this, once students enter senior year, major mistakes are made. This includes skipping class, daydreaming more, forgetting to study, etc. It is also noticed that more and more seniors, after the second semester, start falling for "Senioritis".
I will be including research on all of these topics while searching for reliable facts. In the end I wish for my project to give people a glimpse of what it is like to be a senior now a days. This topic of senior year is capable of working successfully because of the people I am interviewing that have experience on this topic. Another thing is that since I myself am a senior, I can give first hand knowledge on what it is like to be in your senior year.
